Do WhatsApp voice and video calls work in the UAE?
WhatsApp voice and video calls are restricted. WhatsApp text messaging works normally. For voice calls, use approved apps like Botim or C'Me which are licensed locally.
Does coverage extend from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Both e& and du provide seamless coverage along the Abu Dhabi to Dubai motorway throughout all seven emirates.
Does coverage work in the desert areas?
The main desert tourist routes near Dubai and Abu Dhabi have reasonable coverage along roads. Deep desert off-road areas become patchy.
Will my UAE eSIM work if I do a day trip to Oman?
No. Oman is a separate country with its own networks. You'd need a separate Oman plan.
